Perfecting Basic Bread with My Neretva Home Bakery

I’ve been enjoying sharing my daily life in Canada on this blog, and today’s post is all about my experience baking bread with my Neretva Home Bakery.

When I first tried baking basic bread using the recipe from the Neretva manual, I wasn’t too impressed. The bread turned out hard and not as tasty as I’d hoped. But instead of giving up, I decided to experiment.

After a few tries (and a few less-than-perfect loaves), I finally came up with an original recipe that makes soft, fluffy, and delicious bread every time!

If you own a Neretva bread maker, I highly recommend giving this recipe a try. It’s simple, and the results are so much better than the default recipe.

Ingredients

Water 230ml
Melted butter 33ml
Salt 4g (about 2/3 tsp)
Sugar 45g
Milk powder 50g
Bread flour 340g
Yeast 3g (about 1 tsp)

All I had to do was put the ingredients into the bread machine, press start bottun. That’s it!

Next day

Good morning~~ it looks perfect 🙂
The bread turned out great with good height and elasticity.

Let’s make sandwich for breakfast ~

Generously spread butter on the freshly baked slices.
Place a slice of cheese
Put baked bacon on top.
Mixed shredded cabbage with mayonnaise.
For an extra kick, I added chipotle mayo.
Wrapped the sandwich tightly in parchment paper.
Folded the sides inward.
Make an egg sandwich too, put butter and boiled eggs mixed with mayo.
Adding extra shredded cabbage.
Sliced the sandwiches in half, revealing a beautiful cross-section
Looks yummy!
It was amazing lunch ♩

Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. These sandwiches were packed, hearty, and made for a perfect lunch. They disappeared in no time!!

While I usually make basic bread with my Neretva Home Bakery, this experience inspired me to try experimenting with different types of bread next time. 😊
